FinTech innovation is reshaping financial systems in the emerging economies landscape.

A robust Fintech system has significant potential to foster Design and Innovation in an emerging economic nation. It reduces operational costs and drives inclusive economic growth, particularly in historically underserved or marginalised communities. The synergistic interaction among various stakeholders can drive this transformative process. It fosters a competitive environment that generates new ideas. Startups within the ecosystem introduce agile, consumer-focused solutions that challenge traditional banks, creating a situation where all participants are compelled to innovate and improve their offerings. This dynamic competition leads to a wider variety of services, such as peer-to-peer lending and microinsurance. The space has significant potential to innovate through socio-technical design to develop human-centred solutions.

Financial Technology, or Fintech, uses software, apps, and digital tools to improve and automate financial services with efficiency and resilience. An effective and efficient Fintech Ecosystem is vital to support financial inclusion and democratise access to financial services at all levels.  It is a transformative force for rural development, primarily by fostering financial inclusion and economic empowerment in marginalised areas.
